A Pioneering Initiative: Safe Diwali Campaign by
Peer Educators
As the festival of lights brings warmth to homes
and hearts, Blue Bells once again demonstrates that true celebration shines
brightest when it is filled with care, awareness, and shared responsibility.
Guided by this vision, the Health & Wellness Programme launched a
powerful Awareness Campaign on ‘Safe & Green Diwali’ This campaign was led by our dedicated Peer Educators under the
Peer Educator Led Programme, initiated through Adept- A Program For
Enhancing Life Skills powered by Wellnesswise.in. Dr. Alka Saxena, Associate
Director (Social and Emotional Learning), BBGS, provided steadfast
inspiration for this initiative. Ma’am’s commitment to holistic well-being gave
the project clarity, strength, and purpose.
To spark awareness, the Peer
Educators created and shared a thought-provoking video that combined
messages of environmental care, community support, and responsible celebration.
The core message was clear and impactful: Say No to Crackers — Celebrate a
Safe & Green Diwali.
Carrying
this spirit into the community, the Health & Wellness Team, along with the
Peer Educators of Blue Bells Model School, organised a Social Outreach
Programme on October 16, 2025, at Sare Homes, Sector 92. The
students presented an engaging street play (Nukkad Natak) that inspired
residents to celebrate Diwali as a time for reflection, compassion, and care
for environment.
This initiative is more than just a campaign; it
is a transformative learning experience that nurtures empathy,
accountability, and sustainable thinking in young minds. Through their actions
and voices, our students became change makers, lighting not only lamps but also
minds and hearts.
Together, we can turn Diwali into a festival that
brightens lives, safeguards our planet, and inspires future generations to live
consciously.
