BLUE BELLS MODEL
SCHOOL GURUGRAM OBSERVED ‘SHRAMDAAN WEEK’-
A CLEANLINESS DRIVE
TO PHASE OUT SINGLE USE PLASTIC
‘Be the change you want to see in this world and the
only way to bring reformation is to act wisely.’
The objective of keeping the surroundings clean is
not just to tidy up a specific place, but to feel the happiness living within
that environment. To sensitize students on the significance of cleanliness,
Blue Bells Model school organized ‘Shramdaan Week’
– A Cleanliness Drive not only to sensitize all on ‘Litter Free premises’ but
also to ‘phase out the Single Use Plastic’ from October 22 to 25, 2019. The keynote of this activity was to make
this institution a litter free and plastic free school. The young learners took the initiative to
collect litter and dry leaves from inside the school premises. The students of the Middle Wing presented a Street Play
in various platforms like Wing Assemblies and Classes to sensitize all on ‘Say No to Single Use Plastics’ citing
examples how they can be detrimental to health and environment.
The students of Class IX prepared an Online Survey
Form to internalise the understanding and shared it with the parents and
teachers . They urged their parents and teachers to fill and submit the form . The data of this Online Survey
would be collated for further research
and analysis . The link of the Google Form is as under :-
The students
pledged to make
Blue Bells Model School a Single Use
Plastic Free School. They also assured that they will be the ambassadors and volunteers to free their
school, vicinity and city from single use plastic. The whole drive was inspiring and motivating for all the
members of the school.
